Neck Pain – How To Crack Your Neck
One of my YouTube friend wrote: “I hurt my neck and upper back playing football. A year later I hurt it again and I’ve hurt it a few times doing daily stuff. It’s very stiff and I can’t afford chiropractor. This (meaning another video of mine) hurt too much to do, how can I crack my upper back and neck without pain”. So I made a video just to help those who want to know how!

Hi welcome to another video. My name is Vincent Woon. In this video I’m going to share with you a request from aYouTuber who has pain in the shoulder and the neck and needs help in popping it.
There’s three steps to popping your shoulder/neck.
Step number one is to loosen up the shoulder area, shoulder muscles here, along the neck and the neck muscle all loosen up. Do it according to your pain threshold, do not over do it because you might hurt your muscle That’s step number one.
Number two is loosen up your neck. Turn to the left turn to the right loosen up your neck. Left, right and then you can combine both lift up your shoulder and turn your neck loosen up.
Once your neck muscles and your shoulder muscles is loosen up then you are ready to pop your neck.
One very important thing is to drop your shoulder, make sure your shoulders are drop before you actually pop it.
Some people will do it one way like this and some people like to move. Use the hand to do hand on the head and hand on the chin like this.
So basically what you need to do is just turn one direction and then push it opposite direction like such. 1,2,3 and pop. Did you hear that crack? And do the other way 1,2,3 and pop.OK! Go it! So It’s 1,2,3 and push 1,2,3 and push Make Sure your shoulders are drop. OK 1 more time. 1,2,3 and push 1,2,3 and push.
Or I usually do it the easier way like this 1,2,3 and push and 1,2,3 shoulder drop and 1,2,3 and push hear the pop?

cracked it like he showed – i did it gently and it helped. a chiropract
will do the same thing to you on a bed. i dont think messing with a neck is
good idea. done it once on each side.
popping is not necessarily a good thing…and this guy is about as
informative as anybody off the street. slamming around your neck muscles
like that is only asking for inflammation. it is better to relieve the rest
of the body stress than starting with the neck, the neck really should only
be stretched, not popped all the fucking time.
I used to pop my neck a lot and all it does is trade one pain for another.

Don’t do this. It actually hurts you more in the long run. You see, the
neck has to be in a precise angle according to one’s condition and then
rearranged to it’s healthy position.
I’m all for getting adjustments but Noone should take this advice and DIY
thats insane

Awwww, Hell No! lol I was all into the video and trying to crack my neck
because it is really bothering but, “then”, he did the actual pop and just
the sight of it nearly caused me to pass out. Guess it is to the
chiropractor for me because I have the overwhelming fear that if I try what
he just did I will break my damn neck.

This is unbelievable… Please whoever watches this DO NOT DO THIS
YOURSELF! This will cause what is called “Dural Torque”. This is the long
run can cause some serious neurological issues down the road. Not everyone
needs a double sided adjustment. This will eventually cause patients to
have some forms of anxiety and even depression as they are constantly
causing this time of torque to the spinal cord. Long story short this man

do this if u want to become hyper mobile…. how do u know u r adjusting
the right area? what happens if someone rotates the head over 45 degrees
and causes a VAD. will you feel guilty then?? adjustments are very safe but
if done wrong can cause serious side effects
i am scared when my Chiro doc does it to me and hes gentle, there is no way
to do this your self with out slipping a disk in your neck, let the
professional do it that’s why they are trained and are licensed. this guy
must have a special medical condition that he can pop his neck.

basically nailed it but yeah for extra emphasis I can tell you will
personal experience.. doing this to yourself over time can cause you to
lose sensation in your body by causing some nerve damage in the upper areas
of the spine the atlas, c1, c2, and c3 were my main injuries… I then
learned alot more about chiropractic and how that is actually completely
screwing you over in the long run. Seriously it may seem relieving but it
has a very high potenial to damage your nerves and cause chronic neck pain.
Do not mess with this. This guy is teaching about something he knows almost
nothing about. Good luck with your neck. (a great book that helped me alot
is called how to fix your own neck) and if you have a Maximixed Living
clinic anywhere near you check it out… it saved me big time.

My subluxed C-4 hurts so frigging badly I’m desperate to (carefully) try a
good self-neck crack, but he does it so fast I can’t tell if he’s moving so
that the ear moves down toward the shoulder, or like when you’re looking
side to side. Does anyone know?

I hurt my neck in judo when 15. Someone cracked my neck and then I always
felt like I had to crack it to feel ” right” . I cracked it all the time
and was warned by a guy who did the same thing until he had neck surgery. I
kept on.
In my 40’s I had my first neck surgery. I had a herniated C5/6 disc with a
large osteophyte compressing the spinal cord. 4 years later, I once again
had a huge osteophyte completely obliterating the spinal canal space and
flattening the cord like a piece of lasagna. If it hadn’t happened slowly
over years, I would have been a quadraplegic. My neurosurgeon told me that
I was still in danger of becoming quadraplegic if a book fell on my head,
or I was involved in a minor accident, etc.. He said that if I didn’t have
immediate surgery I would first lose bladder and bowel control, then it may
progress. I scheduled the surgery.
He removed the bodies of C-5 and C-6 and removed the discs from C-4 to C-7.
Then while he had the bodies out he reamed out the foramina where the nerve
roots exit at the three levels (one each side). Then he took a chunk of
bone out of my hip crest and formed a plug to fit where the vertebral
bodies had been. He then put a plate over that attached into the front of
C-4 and C-7. The screws broke out of C-7 and are now lodged in the C-7/ T-1
disc space. I will eventually have that fixed.
Don’t crack your neck. If you do it frequently you will cause cervical
joint degeneration and it may lead to disc herniation. Learn neck exercises
from a PT or an orthopedist or a neurosurgeon. There are excellent
exercises that will strengthen your spinal muscles, Then use heat/cold
and/or a TENS unit for pain.
I just did it. It works and I got 3 crunch sounds when I did it.
Tension relieved – pressure gone.
