It’s 5:30 AM

in the morning and you are awaken from worrying about the project that you have to finish before the end of the day. Since it was only 5:30 you tried  to go back to sleep by watching some TV but ended up watching the morning news, which didn”t help but added more stress with bad news about the economy, unemployment and reminded you that you might be next if you did not finished the project.

7:30 AM

You set out for work. Hoping to clock in early to get ahead start but have problem with the subway or problem with traffic if you drive. Stopped by Starbucks for a cup of coffee and breakfast to start your day right. As soon as you get to your office you turned on your computer, pull out your coffee, breakfast and start eating and working (try to avoid this, click to read why).

9:30 AM

Your boss called you into his/her office to run through the work  you have and plan to distribute  the work  among your team to meet the deadline before the end of the day. The plan looks good and everything should be ready by 5PM if everyone do their share.

11:30 AM

Almost lunch time, should you order in or take a walk outside to pick up your lunch and enjoy the sun? You should always take a walk outside of your office or work area because it helps you to refresh your mind. It is a good way to help you get some exercise, allow you to keep your mind away from your work and stress and get some fresh air rather than the stagnant air in the office.

2:30 PM

On your way to the cafeteria for a cup of coffee to keep you going, you notice that one of your team member under you is on the phone yapping away and he/she is know for goofing off at work. At this point you smell trouble instead of coffee and wonder why people can’t be responsible for what they get paid for but goofing off instead. It becomes more stressful just to take care of these irresponsible people and they are all over the place no matter if you work in a big or small company, there’s always one of them. . After being side tracked by your team member and with added stress you managed to finalized the project and wished that it could have went better. Thank God it’s done and you really wished that you could get a massage but it was too late to book one.
