When it comes to new year most people will think of New Year Resolution and goal setting

What’s the most common or most popular new years resolution is? Yes everyone want to be healthy and lose weight  Of course right after Christmas we have commercial on weight lose programs, food programs and also discounted gym membership. It’s a right way to start the new year by exercising and eating healthy. But most people will break their resolution even before the end of the month. What’s happening?

This brings up a point my friend made on Facebook  she said:” People are so worried about what they eat from Christmas to the New Year, but in reality they should be worried about what they eat between the New Year to Christmas”

It’s so true! we should always be aware of what we eat all the time not just for certain time and adding exercise into it will be a definite plus. What can we do?

…What can we do to achieve our goal! It is hard to change a habit but if you take baby steps you can gradually change its

For instant if you snack a lot what if we take the snack away or try not to snacks anywhere or we can replace it with healthy snack, instead of eating junk you are eating healthy snack, and the next best thing is not to have snack at all either at work or home. That way if you crave for it, if  don’t see it cannot have it.or if you take the elevator a lot you can cut down on the elevator and take stairs at home or at workby taking the stairs you will actually feel better especially at work, you’ll feel better. Why? you are pumping up your blood and the blood create circulation and increase the circulation and freshen you up it’s also a way to burn down some calories.

Those a the little steps that you can do. In order to achieve your goal you can design mini goals or small goals that works towards the ultimate or the big goal at the end.

Make it fun and stress free.  When you achieve a mini or a small goal reward with yourself with a gift or a positive statement  to help boost up your self esteem. Enjoy the process instead of working hard towards the goal, if not it will be just another task! Take note of your success at every stage
